Keyboard / Mouse Freeze?

This doesn't happen often, but when I am in the middle of doing something, whether it be gaming, or surfing this website.. the keyboard will go out, and then my mouse will too since it is plugged into my keyboard.

Logitech G15 keyboard and G5 Mouse.

They will freeze up, lights go off as if there was no power to them and 10 seconds later come back on.. can anyone explain that or tell me what to check for? The keyboard is plugged into the back USB slots on my PC. Specs for that are in my sig. Thanks

First take the mouse off the KB and plug it dirrectly into the PC and see if it still happens. Then try swapping USB port. Even try the front ports.

I suspect it may be an issue with the KB and it may stop happening once you stop using the mouse on the KB's USB port.
