When I turn on the computer(s) it goes through the memory check, finds the HD and CD, then it gives me the following error

"keyboard error or no keyboard present"

this happens on a Tyan 1590s with an AMD K6-2-350 64 meg
and a FIC 503+ with an AMD K6-2-475 128 meg

I've tried 4 different keyboards, one brand new, the keyboards work on other systems.

I did ground myself when installing and everything was in place when the computers were first turned on. ie. no hot swapping

Have I somehow managed to fry 2 systems!!!!! If so any idea where the problem might lie. The power supplies maybe???

2 possible probs...

1) your ps2 keyboard ports are/have been busted
2) you're pluggin keyboard in mouse ps2 and thus not being recognized

The FIC is a brand new board.
The keyboard port is a round 5 pin DIN

Would a faulty power supply cause this???
