Keyboard error on Boot. Computer keeps beeping

Okay, lets begin here. In my basement there is this old HP Pavillion 8776c. It runs Windows XP and I have added more ram to it and a G-card. This is not a gaming computer, it is for my mom. It has been working great for a long time until recently.

Problem #1 The internet stopped working. It uses a Linksys Network Adapter which connects to the wireless router. The problem is that the computer displays the network stuff correctly and is able to connect directly to the Router via the IP address but cannot display the internet. Not even weather bug turns on. In response, I checked my sisters labtop to see if her internet was functioning, and it was. I brought it downstairs to where the HP is and it worked perfectly in the same spot. So it probably is not a Router problem then. Never the less, I did update the firmware and reset it to factory default. And tried again and still the HP could not connect to the internet but only it connected to the Router.

Problem #2 Now this is where it gets complicated. Yesterday I left the HP comp downstairs on for 1 hour. When I came back it was frozen in the welcome screen and Beeping repeatedly. The same beep you get when you try to press a few buttons on the keyboard at once during a game or something. I could not even move the mouse so I had to do a manual shut down. When I turned it on again it displayed something like this with the same beeping going on. I turned it off and went to sleep. Today morning I woke up and turned on the computer and everything seemed to be working perfectly(besides the internet). So I let it run downstairs like I usually do. And when I came back, it did the same thing like it did before. The keyboard error. I couldn't even get it to boot anymore. Also I did check the motherboard and the capacitors seemed fine. Can someone please help me?

clean out all internet options and remove all netwrok adapters or connections other than the card you installed. as for the 2nd options, probably something is spiking the system while you are gone downstairs.

Have you tried a new\different keyboard? The repeating tone and error message can signify that a key is stuck down. Maybe something got spilled in it some time ago and a key is now stuck. Try that out and see if that clears up those issues then we can talk about the internet problem (I doubt they are related).

Now this is weird. The keyboard seems to be working perfectly now. Same keyboard. Also when I turned on the computer the internet was working perfectly as well. I could connect to everything. But when I left the computer idle for an hour, and came back to check on it, the internet stopped working. I could connect to my router, but I could not connect to any website. Also weather bug froze as well. I did do a restart. When I logged in, the network icon kept displaying "Acquiring Network Address" and thats all it did.
