Keyboard driver won't allow suspend

Ever since I installed a new hard drive every time I try to go into suspend I get an error that my kb driver won't alow it and to try and roll it back. That doesn't work. I bought a new keyboard that didn't work. I've since upgraded my motherboard and processor and still it happens.

this may not be the answer since you haven't mentioned changing any details on your mobo, but I have a mobo that requires a jumper change to enable the keyboard to allow suspend. If yours is the same then check your mobo manual. Prolly not, as I said.

When you changed hard drives, did you do a complete new os install or did you transfer the existing contents of old hard drive to new hard drive.
What os are you using?

I am asking these as other people who know more than me will want the answers so they can help you, i believe.

Course the link you provide will prolly answer that but maybe you should put the info out here?

thanks

Don

Here goes...

In the beginning I had an Abit BX6 2.0 mobo with a PIII 800. I was running Win XP Pro and using an old Gateway multifunction kb. I upgraded to an 80GB harddrive and decided to do a fresh install b/c of some windows problems I was having. Ever since new install, I haven't been able to use suspend. I have since replaced the mobo with an ASUS p4t533 and an running a P4 2.26. I'm also now using a Logitech Cordless KB and mouse. Still the same problem.

then first off you gotta check your mobo manual. You will likely find info there regarding "keyboard" and "suspend" that works from the bios. Also, there may even me a jumper that you have to set for that. I have an A-trend board with a jumper for that.
