Keyboard doesn't work right after exiting games

Sometimes after I quit a game the keyboard doesn't work right. If I try and type something in any program it will not type anything and sometimes will bring up the save as dialog or favorites menu even though I didn't press the shortcut key combination for it.

Any idea why this happens?

the keyboard is from a sony vaio computer.

I recently had a similar thing happen, but it wasn't after playing a game. I spilled coke on the keyboard and was desparately wiping the keyboard to get the coke out of it. After that, they keyboard wouldn't type, just opened shortcuts such as what you describe. It took a reboot to fix it.

Maybe a delay by the previous application.. you need to be more specify on the symptom..

the mouse also won't left click when the keyboard is messed up
