Hello I have just replaced a bad MSI Neo Platnium 7030 ver.1 Motherboard with a new exact same unit. Everything on my computer boots up and runs great after the change out except that my Saitek USB keyboard remaind dead until Windows 2000 is almost done booting. Im unable to enter Bios or do any other keyboard commands untill Win 2K is up and running. Im guessing that there is some setting in the Bios (which I cant get to unless I get another keyboard) is set different than the board I removed. Has anyone else seen this problem with a USB keyboard?

Oh BTW MSI has the worst customer service ive ever seen ,1 month to get my MB back (exchanged actually) put it in and bang no boot up ...a different problem than I had but still no go. So i just went to Newegg and bought a new one and 2 days later Im up and running . From now on Warranty means nothing to me if it breaks throw it away..It keeps the blood pressure down :)

Thanks to anyone with any ideas

My System
AMD64 3400+ ,512MB ram, MSI MS7030 Ver 1 MB, Nvidia 5900XT video, Saitek USB keyboard,Win2K with all updates

Yes you need to buy/borrow a ps2 keyboard to enable USB keyboard support in the bios for it to work in dos and bios. no other way around it.
