I recently decided to clean my keybaord (ms internet keyboard pro)

I did the thorough clean, (as in take all the keys off, wash them, then wash the keyboard without the keys)

Everything went fine until i put the keys back on, I noticed that the keys seem a little more sluggish, as in, they are harder to press. And one key is stuck and I have no idea why

Any ideas? perhaps some wd-40 would help?

I hope you didn't use HOT water for the washing. If your keyboard uses rubber membranes, they will get saggy and irresponsive. I used all my keybds, no problem...

P.S. WD-40 will make is smell bad.

I would take the keyboard totally appart and then start re-assembling it. Making sure every piece goes where it was originally. Making sure keys are not sticky and that they key smoothly. If it doesn't work try, try again. OR else buy a new keyboard and keyboard cover.;)

For me the best way to clean a keyboard or a mouse is to clean the keys with cleaning wipes and vacuum clean between the keys. Removing each and every key is a lot of hassle, IMO, and I'd have to do it every other week as my keyboard starts to feel not fresh on the touch.

yea thats good advice, the keyboard doesn't have that nice fresh tactile feel anymore...oh well, lessons learned I guess

Clean your keyboards! Wow thats pretty meticulous. I wonder how clean your houses are?

I'm still using my PC Concepts keyboard (I need a Ps/2 adapter to use it since it is a big connection) from 5 years ago and I've cleaned it like twice...as in just quickly wipe it with a rag for about 10 seconds.

I used to take apart my old Microsoft Natural Keyboard to clean it just as you did. I took out the keys, open up the keyboard and clean the insides, including the rubber and the sheets of plastic with circuits on it. Washed everything down with warm dish water, except the PCB board of course, and everything has been fine. I haven't noticed any less of sluggish feel.

Once you clean your keyboard like that after it's been used for a year or so, it's feels MUCH cleaner.
