Weird problem.
My IBM Think Pad 600E is like a rock, always working. Today, I got a docking station from my friend, after I plugged in, the attached USB mouse seems orking but the keyboard (also attached) is not. So I unplugged, thinking no biggie, I am just gonna use it without the docking station.

Then I realized that my keyboard and Track Point mouse are not working anymore!

If I plug in the USB mouse, I can use it, but the keyboard is still out. I tried to remove the driver for keyboard, mouse and let the OS to recognize them again, still no luck.

I am using Windows 2000, with most update patches. Any suggestions?

In most laptops, those combo input settings are first handled in the CMOS BIOS settings. Make a couple of changes there and see if you can return to la vida loca. :)

I am quite sure it's the windows 2000. While booting up, I hit "Caps Lock" several times, I can see the key is working until the windows 2000 logo screen comes up. Then it's got no response when I hit the key.
