Keyboard and Mouse Failing

I moved a working system to a new case yesterday and now the system boots fine, but the keyboard and mouse don't work in windows. On bootup, I can hit delete and get into the BIOS, but the keyboard fails after a few seconds. By fails I mean that I can no longer manipulate the BIOS screen using the keyboard. I tried reseating the board in the case. Same problem. I removed the cover over the connectors in case there was something shorting them out, and that didn't work. Note that the keyboard and mouse connections are both PS/2 and the motherboard is a VIA chipset with a PIII 667 processor. The only thing that changed between the two cases is that the new one has a 350W Power Supply and the old case had a 300W. And I hooked up the front USB connections on the new case. I'm trying to avoid going back to the other case, but I will if it is necessary to get the system working. Any ideas?

Thanks, I thought about the USB solution. It would certainly prove if the PS/2 ports went up. I am going to try putting it back in the other case tonight and see if it starts working again. I was wondering if some sort of "bad grounding" could be killing the inputs. Any more ideas?
