Keyboard acts like left arrow is stuck...

So we just set up the wife's computer post-move and everything is fine...except that after about 2 hours of being on, the computer goes all wonky on us...

After about those 2 hours, all of a sudden, when you open a browser (whether IE or Firefox, or notepad or anything else for that matter) the cursor goes nuts like the left arrow key is stuck. Then when you go to reboot, the cursor is cycling thru the lock and hibernate buttons.

The weird thing is that this does this w/ her Logitech G15 keyboard (USB) and a standard microsoft basic keyboard (PS2). She restored her computer from prior to the latest windows updates yesterday when this started up. Oh also, this is a custom built desktop, so it's not a touchpad issue. Lastly, nothing else has been installed on the computer before or since the move between when this wasn't happening until now, when it started.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the key things you might want to know:

Vista Ultimate x64
G15 logitech Keyboard
G5 logitech mouse

Have since re-installed the drivers for the keyboard as well.

Oh, also, this happens regardless of what USB port is used.

help!

Unplug the power, open the system and pull the CMOS battery out for a minute. This will clear the CMOS and might fix the problem. Sometimes when the CMOS gets currupted it can cause the USB and PS2 ports to act up.

We uninstalled the G15 and the G5 mouse, uninstalled all the logitech software and rebooted w/ only the generic mouse and keyboard that we have (for instances like this) and we're seeing if the problem still exists....

If that doesn't work (what we tried), we'll reset the cmos and see if that helps. Thanks...stay tuned.

That looks like it works so it's either a bad keyboard or mouse it seems. We actually have a spare G5 mouse and when we hook up the original G5, it acts up...but when we plug in the spare G5, works normal.

Alrighty, so apparently the issue is found. Thanks for the help.
