key to remove a pioneer head unit

i need to take my HU out of my now dead car before it goes to the junk yard, however i cant find the keys for teh headunit, i found one set however im not sure if they are the correct ones or the ones from my old HU, so if anyone could provie me with a pic ow what they are supposed to look like that would be great

hummm is it possiable to remove the HU without them, i remember someone saying you could do it wih butterknifes

If you look at the very end you will see a dimple on the end of the key. That is what pushes in the clips to release it. Kinda hard to replicate. Circuit city or bestbuy should beable to pull it for you.

yea problim is that the car is in the middle of nowhere because its fing dead, thats where it was towed, and theres no way it can be gotten to anyplce that could do it for me

Sawzall? Used it to chop through some wrecks before for salvage...just give a nice buffer zone around it. And be sure to disconnect the battery

Your car is going to a junkyard.. just rip that sucker out! I would understand if you don't want to damage the car, but that's not the case. Just take the whole casing out. Once you do that, taking the HU out of the holder is a cake.
