Wang ZhiZhi throws a head fake, and KG falls over him banging his head on the floor. He leaves the game, only to come back with a big 'ole bandage on his bald head, with 12 stitches on his head.

Love to read about tough desire to win, like that. I remember when Isaiah Thomas played on a broken ankle back in the day. Lots of respect for KG. Dude wants to win, bad.

Hockey players do this all the time. Now there is a crazy bunch of people. Too many pucks to the old noggin.

yeah, but in hockey it's the norm for the players to be tough. in the NBA, there are too many softies collecting million dollar checks...

yup...or Ronnie Lott and his finger story.

Of course, don't forget that there's a fine line between toughness and stupidity :)

i watched the game last night, the guy faked out KG really good, that's what it was. KG wanted to snuff a shot but had the better done to him so he - KG got caught, and flew in the air and simply fell flat on his face on the wing. I think they called a foul on KG too, so it was 2 shots. But i didn't see much contact at all. I think the ref. blew the whistle because he anticipated KG was gonna whale, but didn't anticipate how deftly the shooter pulled a fake and stepped aside for KG to fall to the floor.

KG is one of those players that isn't going to get all the respect he deserves until his team gets far in the playoffs, but he's as much a winner as anyone (except mj of course.) but he hasn't had the balanced team to compliment him yet.

I don't get your thinking. So because KG came back from 12 stitches on the back of his head somehow his desire to win is greater than that of a hockey player because hockey players are tougher and therefore expected to come back?

He came back from a cut that required 12 stiches to the back of his head. Not a broken finger or sprained ankle or something that would cause great pain while playing ball.

Lets ease up on the desire and respect thing here,I mean he didn't pull a Willis Reed or anything
