The Raw Story is reporting on the latest Zogby poll, commissioned by the Wall Street Journal.

From current data, Zogby predicts that Kerry will win with a devastating 324 to 214 electoral votes. Political Wire, one of Washington?s top political weblogs, notes that this is even higher than presaged by the Electoral Vote Predictor, another independent electoral polling compilation site.
However, Kerry's lead is narrowing in a number of states; I'll let you know my prediction in November.

It ain't over 'til...well, you know. The Repubs are doing a remarkable job of trashing Kerry in the media though. It's having some affect, as you can see by recent numbers.

The august smear campaign will either fade away or bite Bush, so soon things will turn to real issues where Bush loses hands down.

Its going to keep going back and forth till the election I bet...
IMO, Bush has no hope in FL or only minimal hope in OH. Remember that they've been calling my state, OR, a "battleground state" for months, yet it is almost certain now that Kerry will win it in a landslide (which has me thinking about switching my vote to Badnarik, gotta do my part for the LP).

Bush WOULD lose hands down, if he weren't going up against Kerry, who is even more fetile on real issues. Why else do both candidates avoid them constantly?

Rove is very good at was he does, negative ads and smoke screens. I just wish the voters would see through it, but the so called undecideds should be named the uninformed. They are an ignorant bunch who sway with the smear ads like sheep.

One thing I've noticed about Zogby is that they consistently favor the Democrats and/or show the worst numbers for Bush's approval ratings -- that's not supposition, it's fact. It's odd, and I wonder about their methods as a result. I met a woman who works for the State Department doing official polling -- I should ask her if she has an opinion on their methods.

Zogby was the Only major poller to call the 2000 election exactly to the state.

Zogby was the Only major poller to call the 2000 election exactly to the state.

Interesting factoid. My point still stands, however, from recent polling. If you look at a comparison of Bush's approval rating (where I first noticed the discrepancy), Zogby has always been several percentage points to the negative of the others -- Pew, Gallup, various others.

I am not being partisan in stating this, only mentioning my observations. I need to do some more research on Zogby as I know very little about them.

I really do take all these polls with a pound of salt. It's really going to be tight come November. Too close to call for anybody to be bragging about polls at this point.
