They were talking about Kerry going on vacation:

Maher: You could have went to New Hampshire and killed two birds with one stone.

Kerry: Or, I could have gone to 1600 Pennsylvania and killed the real bird with one stone.

This guy wanted to be President? You don't joke about crap like this. Did any Republican ever talk about going and killing Clinton? Sheeesh sad.

BTW: IF Kerry gets the nod in 08 I am sure you'll see this bit on TV. No excuse for any wana be President to act like this.

Edit... ooops posted by accident before I was ready.

What do you mean you "believe" it's a right wing site. The very top of the site says "exposing and combating liberal media bias."

With all the bad news for the Republicans lately, this is the best you can do? What a waste of a thread.

gotta Love it....
GWB is NOt the Democrats worse enemy...
They themselves will keep themselves from getting into the white house...
I fact the only way yopu will se a democrat in the White House is with an invitation from a Republican president...lolol

That's not even Engrish.

This is a really outrageous story. I am absolutely appalled at Kerry and his sub-human form of thinking. How could he dare to insult birds by calling Bush one.

I saw the program, only a nutjob could take what he said as meaning "Kill Bush". What he meant and it was clear to all those watching the program was reversing the failed NeoCon Foreign Policy if he had won the election.

27% (percent of population dumb enough or militant enough to interpret it as that)--remember that number.

LOL at the OP. I watched the show on Friday, got a good laugh out of Kerry and I wake up today to an even bigger laugh, PJ posting this OP. Kid, get a job. Your job as message board troll can not be paying the bills. Or do your mom and dad not expect that you make any money down there in the basement? Either way, stop posting, you are making such a fool of yourself it is actually quite sad. You are pathetic.

Kerry is a coward...if he meant to say he would kill bin laden..then say it.

If he meant he wants to kill the president...then he should say it.

This is the second Democrat to make a joke about killing the President in recent memory.

Can anyone find a quote of a major Republican ever making a joke about killing Clinton or any other Democrat?

This is yet another example of Democratic hate speak.
The Democratic party is in such sad shape if this is the best they can do. What happened to the concept of a "stateman"? Who in the Democrat party can the American people look at and admire for who they are and what they say?

And Cellar, this has nothing to do with recent bad news. It is about what Kerry said, I am sure we can deal with more than topic at a time.

How upset were you when Anne Coulter suggested Clinton should be assassinated during the Lewinski scandal? I believe she said something like "should we impeach him or assassinate him?" She's not a member of congress, but she's definitely a key figure.

And with regard to the part you bolded, the same could be said by switching Democrat with Republican, and according to the recent polls, the majority of people seem to think that way as well.

Edit: What I really don't understand is, how anyone with a clear mind can look at American politics as a whole for the last 6 years, with all the flat-out lies and BS this administration has thrown to the American public, and with a Republican-controlled congress that has done absolutely nothing to check the executive branch, with the endless amount of scandals, including, but not limited to,

Bin Laden Determined to Strike Inside US Gate, Downing Street Memo Gate, Election Gate 2000 (Stolen by the Supreme Court), Troop Strength Gate, No End Game Gate (In Iraq, but there's others that haven't been thought through), Out Sourcing Osama bin Laden Gate, Mission Accomplished Gate, Abu Gareb Gate, Gitmo Gate. Kyoto Treaty Gate, National Guard Gate, Harken Oil Gate, Authorizing Torture Gate, Terror Alert Gate. Loss of Good Will After 911 Gate. Election Gate 2004 (Diebold, voter fraud), John Bolton Recess Appointment Gate, Ted Armstrong Gate (Paying journalists), Fred Gannon Gate (Male prostitute in White House Press Corps), Brownie Gate (Response to Hurricane Katrina),
Scooter Libby Gate (Leaks that expose a CIA agent), Body Armor Gate (Not supplying troops on the ground), Staged Meetings With the Troops Gate, Jack Abramoff Gate, Harriet Miers Gate, Stem Cell Research Gate, Terri Schiavo Gate, United Arab Emirates Gate, NSA Gate (Spying on Americans), FISA Gate (Spying without a warrant), Iraq Spending No Audit Gate, Medicare Gate, Enron Gate (Bush connection to from Ken Lay),
Federal Debt Gate (8 Trillion and growing), Trailer Gate (WMDs that weren't), Signing Statement Gate, Torture Gate, Privatizing the Military Gate, Geneva Convention Gate.

How anyone can see all of this, and then ask themselves "Who in the Democrat party can the American people look at and admire for who they are and what they say?" is beyond me. I honestly just don't understand it.

I didnt realize Ann Coultier was an elected official and has run for president. I think comparing a bomb thrower like Coultier and a senator like Kerry is apples and oranges.

If Kerry did say this, this is shameful and sad a US senator openly admits to thinking about killing the President of the United States.

I think Kerry meant no true harm by it. It is a comedy show, he was trying hard (and failed miserably) to be funny. He should know, however, that the right-wingers will attack him on anything he says.

Although I don't like Kerry, this isn't a quote to throw him under the bus for. Is this interview even worthy of comment? Maher asked some useless questions if you ask me.

Jeez - talk about much ado about nothing. Kerry never "openly admit[ted] to thinking about killing the President," nor did he joke about it. I would have thought any native speaker of English would understand what he said, but apparently I would be wrong. His comment had exactly nothing to do with killing anyone. This is the same kind of ignorance that makes it impossible to use the word "niggardly," or the expression "tar baby" in public anymore, because so many people are so ignorant of the language that they'll be offended by these words.

I find it comical that "ProfJohn" has such a persecution complex about people criticizing him, after he starts worthless thread after worthless thread.

Clue -- Bill Mahar show is a comedy show. So are the Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Set your TIVO to record them for a week, and I'm sure you could find enough more than enough satirical comments from both of them and their guests to fill half of the forum with more of your meaningless, bogus piss and moan "issues."

Get over it. While you're at it, get over yourself, too.
