Has anyone bought one of these refurbs from Ecost? Though their page says it does, is it certain that the multibrand joystick remote is included?
Also the specs on Ecost's page for this receiver say the following: "Kenwood's Circle Surround II, which let you transform Dolby Surround and stereo sources into realistic 5.1-channel and 6.1-channel sound, respectively"
Then it mentions this: "Dolby Digital EX, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic II"
What is the truth, isn't this a 5.1 receiver?
Yes, it's 5.1 Circle Surround is a propietary technology that can take a 2-channel source such as TV or a music CD and play it back in a 5.1 format so you utilize all your speakers. It's actually similar to Pro Logic II but I find it superior in some applications.Originally posted by: docprego

This is a great box for the money, if you don't need true Dolby Digital 6.1. Built-in DTS Decoding, support for two sets of main stereo speakers, 3 digital inputs, 3 S-Video inputs, and gobs of power, rated the way it used to be, in the good old days; from 20 - 20,000 hz at less than 0.09% THD.
And free shipping! Woohoo! I think I'll fleabay my unopened Best Buy KLH receiver and replace it with this one. How can you go wrong?
