ok, I know this has been posted more times than the Intel/AMD battle posts but anybody know what I can do. My drive died 1 year and 3 weeks after I purchased it! Completely dead one day, no power or nothing! Makes me soooooo mad, it was sooooo quiet and fast! I remember tons of people complaining about thier Kenwood drives dying. A friend had 2 of his 52x kenwoods die with in months of each other. Is there anything I can do?

E-mail Kenwood with your drive info - which is on the top of the unit, and most likely they'll let you return it for a RMA... That's what they did for me, and they were quite nice about it....

cool, thanks. Was this a known problem with them? Also, the warranty sticker was ripped when I took it out of the case... will they care?

True-X drives have had a caused a lot of trouble for many users - as long as you can look on the top of the cd-drive and send them the model number and whatnot, they'll tell you if they can RMA it or not...
