There have been some Kentsfield benchmarks on XtremeSystems. So this one may be real.

It's certainly not impossible, however any benchmarks taken this early before release - likely to be either late this year or early next year from what reports have said (via Dailytech).

The gains of going to Quad core over dual or even single are going to be very application dependent, however Kentsfield will likely mark my next upgrade.
