Kentfield quad with the D975BX?

Any word on if the coming Intel Quad processor will work with the D975BX? I see about 10 975 boards have been listed that will suppor the quad core but I haven't seen anything on the D975BX.

Probably will but Intel hasnt officiated wether it will or not yet. You may want to consider the BX2. Rumor is it will be Quad core capatible.

I would like to consider the BX2 however I already have a BX.

the kentsfield previews from idf were done on the d975bx badaxe 1 so i'd assume itll work.

Thanks! I have rev 5 of the board which I think is the most current so I'm hoping they were testing on a rev 5.
