Too bad they don't have that many locations. They use to have one in cary but they boarded up awhile ago. I went to one last December in Mobile, AL it was great.

I think they changed management a couple times, there was a lot of controversy over the use of "Kenny Rogers" name - I guess Kenny wanted more money for his name use but anyways now the same people who own "Nathan's Hotdogs" owns it.

Well it was funnier back when Will Sasso was fat, but it's still funny when he does the Kenny Rogers thing now...
Basically, he portrays a moronic whiskey-swilling, drawling and gluttonous Kenny Rogers who welcomes people to the restaurant, but can't help but sloppily helping himself to their plates. By the end of the skit, he's covered in barbecue sauce and all the customers are fuming mad.

Yep, they used to be good. Then they went under (at least down here in Fl.) Now you can buy Kenny Rogers chicken and some other items at Miami Subs (They also sell Arthur Treachers Fish & Chips and Nathans). But the food is pre-cooked and reheated for you vs Kenny Rogers stores where the chicken was fresh off the Roaster.

Boston Market is an acceptable substitute to me though.

Costco's roasted chicken is also gread AND a deal, but, no pre-cooked sides = more work when I get home.

I went to one in Orlando around 5 years ago - it was all you could eat sides/chicken for around $3.99 it was so good

One of my all time favorite episodes. A true classic.
