their defense is that a couple million dollars siphoned off by andy fastow and a witch hunt by the WSJ brought down the company. as if a multibillion dollar corporation could be brought down by just that little bit. if the company had any value in it a few million dollars wouldn't push it so deep into bankruptcy that they couldn't restructure. lay and skilling are still trying to claim that people just don't understand enron's business model. if no one can understand your business model maybe it's because the whole thing was an illusion to begin with. if you can't explain it in the days and weeks that you are on trial it was never there to begin with. assholes. i hope they rot in federal pound me in the ass penitentiary and their mansions in river oaks get burnt to the ground.

They're just trying to dump it on Fastow who took a plea bargain for 10 years in prison. Now Lay and Skilling claim they knew nothing.
Which one of them spent time in the mental ward, lay or skilling? I heard one of them did... :Q

Well, if by "we" you mean the millions of investors and thousands of employees that were screwed by them, you are correct. We are all idiots. I mean, I wasn't but MANY people were. I have a feeling they are going to get off with a slap on the wrist.

I think Skilling posts here.

And Lou Pai was clearly the smartest guy in the room. He was the real winner.

The core of Lay's defense (plus monetary donations and sermons at local churches) worked for Scrushy. I don't think Skilling was far enough removed to claim complete ignorance.

We're supposed to believe that CEO's don't know what the fvck is going on at their companies. They were laughing all the way to the bank and still are.
