-Keloid scarring is a dysfunction of the normal healing reaction in which the body produces a huge excess of scar tissue. Its treatment is difficult and unpredictable, with different patients responding to different treatments. Reasonable treatments include re-excision of the scar, injecting the scar with steroids, lasering the scar flat, and placing pressure on the scar with a compressive dressing or silicon strip.-
I have had hydrocortisone treatment which involved injections into scar tissue but had to stop because I reacted to the shots. The Doctor has suggested surgical removal but he also said that it would probably grow back.
So has anyone had this type of scar tissue removed and if so, how did it heal ?
TIA
