Are you suggesting that not protesting is therefore not patriotism?

You seriously need work with your grammar. Do you have a high school degree? Im suggesting that complacency in a time when protest is essential (this time, this administration) is not patriotic.

Your post says that protesting is patriotic. So the question is - can someone be a patriot(or patriotic?) yet not "protest"?

You're claiming that whatever protests agree with your personal political opinion = patriotism. It shouldn't even require a high-school degree to figure out the BS inherent in that claim.

Protest does not automatically equal patriotism. Or do you consider EVERY protester, no matter the cause, patriotic?

We'll be glad the nightmare of your TRAITOR IN CHIEF and his criminal cabal of TRAITORS, MURDERERS and LIARS is gone and sorry that it didn't happen soon enough to save our once proud nation from the destruction they've wrought.

As of 12/15/07 10:12 pm EDT 3,892 Americans have died, tens of thousands more Americans are wounded, scarred and disabled for life, and TRILLIONS of dollars have been squandered in their war of LIES.

If there is any justice remaining in this nation, the entire administration will be tried and convicted for their MURDER, TREASON and outright CORRUPTION. :|

I believe George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and everyone else involved in pimping their fraudulant war against America should be given lifetime vactions at the beautiful downtown Guantanamo Hilton with free daily passes on the exciting waterboard ride. They said it isn't torture. They should be given extended opportunities to prove it on themselves.

So in other words, yes, that is exactly what you're saying.
So what was it when I was marching in protest of the mere prospect of war in Iraq? Or is it part of your definition of patriotism that that protest take place years later and after popular sentiment has already swung 180 degrees to be in favor of the protest?

You screwed the quote up BTW. It's "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." And no, Jefferson did NOT say it. Text

I think you mean work "on" his grammar, not "with" it. No one has a high school degree, as high schools don't issue degrees. They issue diplomas. "Im" has an apostraphe in the middle. That said, his phrasing was whacky awkward.

Yeah, it was akward but the point was to pose the antithesis to his statment. I was trying to do it with his own words instead of picking new ones or changing them too much. It was basically a question where if protesting is patriotic then not protesting is unpatriotic. HE won't answer that.(which doesn't surprise me)

It is sufficient but not necessary. You've consistently demonstrated a painful lack of logic. You need to cure it before you continue barking.

I wonder if the citizens of Germany asked themselves that question back in the day....

WTF is wrong with you? If protesting is patriotic, how can you conclude not protesting is unpatriotic? Do you understand that's a logical fallacy?

of course you don't

His left thumb has more intellect than the majority of the neo-con apologists here have in all their collective heads.

Olbermann is teh win.
