is this stuff worthwhile? there aren't any notes indicating that anything is broken with the lens, just the standard wear that BGN indicates.
 
I have purchased several lens that are bgn and every one but one has worked perfectly. The other one the zoom ring sticks once and a while more of a pita then anything. I try to purchase bgn lens if they are available, they tend to be much cheaper.
 
What todpod said... BGN stuff will be fully functional with just a lot of exterior wear and tear. It's the "Ugly" rating you have to watch for, but even some of those are still fine...

KEH really is a great place to pick up some used lenses to play with...
