Hiya,
I have the Frigidaire kegerator and have a few questions.
I have had it about 4 months now and on my 3rd keg.
I drew a glass of beer a couple of days ago and got a peice of fungus in my glass
so I am pretty sure its time to clean this thing.
I am pretty sure the fungus came from the faucet as thats the peice that stays room
temp.
The reason I have been putting off cleaning this thing is the cleaning kits
I have found online seem like a rip off. $35 for a plastic bottle with a fitting
on it. What method do you use to clean yours??
Also, today my cat jumped on top of the fridge and when jumping down
hit the handle and it started pouring beer. DAMN good thing I was right there
to see it happen or I would have a whole keg on the kitchen floor. ( fresh keg )
So now I need one of three things...
1) a self closing faucet
2) a tap lock
3) beer shut off valve
I am leaning towards a shut off valve and I was wondering if this valve
connects on the inside of the door on the back of the faucet??
Any other advice or tips on this thing would be appreciated.
Peace
Rich
