all of a sudden, it has stopped detecting my GPU and runs in software. I have changed the ini file as suggested elsewhere but it resets the suggested changes anyway.

I am not sure what it is that i could've done to make it so that it forces DirectDraw/compatibility mode. Has anyone else ever had a problem like this and if so then how was it solved?

I havent changed drivers lately.

never mind i got it fixed by changing the ini file to read only
