sorry, somebody all ready told me. If you don't finish the keg is it better to leave it tapped and pressurized or should you removed the tap and retap it when you need it (probably Sunday or Monday for football). Although if we don't finish the keg I will have to tell my guests that they are pansies.

Pressurize it, then untap as quickly as possible to minimize pressure loss. And by pressurize it, I mean as much as you can without blowing a seal on the tap.

Kegs are not too heavy, but it is funny as hell to watch people struggle trying to get it up the stairs. Everytime we had a keg last year, I had to carry the damn thing myself. That involved going up two flights of stairs.

I found it easier to shoulder it rather than deal with my roommates attempts at helping to carry the keg. Of course, the d@mn things are always dirty :|

Yeah. My two roommates could barely lift the thing together so in a rush to get beer, I would do it myself.

Yeah. My two roommates could barely lift the thing together so in a rush to get beer, I would do it myself.

Mine could, but they would set it down every other stair (at the most, more often it was every stair), and it would foam like a motherf*cker

Oh, in terms of numbers... In a keg race, the standard is 8 guys, 2 girls. At least, thats how I've always played.

True, but getting enough people who arent forgetting that they'll have to pay for it in the morning is harder as people get older and wiser... or at least older.

You're more then likely referring to an actual half keg of beer. The ones that are about oh I don't know, 3-4 feet high. A standard keg is about 7 feet tall (if not larger) and that holds about 250 16oz Cups, or 310 12 oz Cups. The half keg (which you have) holds about 124 16oz cups, or 165 12oz Cups.

Btw: To Kill a Keg, it took us 11 people in about 2 hours. Needless to say, we were pretty trashed. Did it with a little help with something we like to call Sarah the Squid(an 8-person funnel that holds about 75 12 oz beers b/w the huge poland spring jug and all the pvc piping in there, and also has 1" tubing instead of your standard 3/4" funnel tubing)
