I'm curious if users have any tips/tricks on how they keep their info on their laptop current with that on the desktop? Right now I only check my mail on the desktop.
I use gmail, and it seems like the only way to check mail in outlook express is via POP. If I do this, then it wont download at home.

Any advice on keeping two computer current with mail and bookmarks, appreciate it.

I use "Second Copy 2000" to sync folders between the desktop and laptop. It's not automatic but workable.

I'd like to hear what others do too.

I use a program called Syncback to synchronize files between my backup drive an my main drive. I'm sure it could be used between computers on a network too.

Here's an odd suggestion: use all online services. Webmail, delicious for bookmarks, Google Reader for RSS feeds, there is probably an online service for each individual need you have ;)

Maybe not the best answer, but an answer

Another vote for Syncback.

Since Roboform has worked so well for me, I decided to try its sync companion . .

Goodsync

It works well.
