Keeping wireless connection

After my fiancee moved in last month, we bought her a wireless NIC to get onto my apartment's network. (Linksys 802.11G router) Lately, its been dropping her on a random basis often many times a day. Is there anything we can do to improve her connection times? My netgear NIC works ok. Very few drops. Her linksys NIC drops more than mine ever did.
