Keeping the spiders out of my web page.

A couple of years ago I was reading a Web Design / HTML book that said you could enter a code into a particular meta-tag that would keep spiders from indexing that particular page. Of course now I can?t remember what book it was in, nor do I remember the script that goes in the meta tag. Can anyone help me out here? I want to have a page on my site that is not accessible to anyone but me. Easy not to put any links to it, but I?m just thinking one of the search engine spiders might see it, like it and index it.
