Keeping sites from taking focus in firefox

I like to check multiple email sites at once, so it's really annoying when i'm typing in one tab and then gmail or yahoo mail steals focus while i'm still typing.

is there a way to force them not to?

I'm not having that issue, but you can try unchecking the "Select new tabs opened from links" option (Tools>Options>Tabs). That may help you out.

Use an email client, then you wouldn't have to go to the websites at all. Opera has one built in, that's how I check all my emails.

nah, i hate those things.

I just hate when i am typing in one tab and suddenly it starts typing in the other when it's done loading. If i can stop that, i'll be golden
