Hi there,

I remember reading somewhere that there was a way to keep the mt recent documents folder from remembering what documents a person has looked at. I am trying to secure several WinXP machines and keep other users from seeing the list of recently opened documents. If anyone knows how Id love to hear from you....

Thanks!!!

I didnt think I was cross posting, I have made posts before In one area and been told that maybe I should post it in another as well since not everyone looks at the forums here. For example, what I am asking is a question that involves XP, so it's an operating system issue, but then again, it could be answered by someone who looks at the software forum or even the tech support forum since this question would be relevant in all of those yet not everyone reads all of the forums.

If you are using seperate user accoutns for each person then this isn't a problem. They will only see their own Recent Documents. If you are not using seperate user accounts then you can use TweakUI to clear that on logout. However I highly recommend you use seperate user accounts if you need this type of security.

What the people who told you to post in other forums previously meant is that if you're not getting any responses to a post in one forum after a few days to try posting in another similar forum. Also, if you've posted, for example, a software issue in General Hardware, they'll tell you to post in software because the forum you posted in has nothing to do with your topic. Just posting a question in 3 similar forums is the definition of cross-posting.
