Yea.. that looks pretty ugly under that flip top. Is it normally dry and hard like that? seems like the wrong knock to it could break contact internally and never reform again.
Yes it's ugly like that in that entire line.

No knock lol....I prefer the razor method as I have it perfected. Personally I think the hammer/vice method is silly. When doing the razor method you just have to be careful of the voltage regulators. Taking your time is wise.
