Im starting to get a decent collection of DVDs and am wanting to start keeping track of what I have. What do you guys use to organize your DVDs so you can quickly look and see what you have?

I turn around and look at the shelf that is behind me. I had them all in DVD Profiler at one point, but then I didn't see the point in opening a program to look at the list then turn around, look at the exact same DVDs to find it, then grab it.

Use binders that stack on end and don't put too many in one binder. Pressure will cause cracks in the media. Actually, just skip collecting them at all. We went through VHS, Beta, CED disks, the big laser disks, and now have binders of DVD's. What a pain in the ****! If we had waited, we would have saved thousands over the years. Paid for IPR in several different medias and none of it transferred! Screw RIAA and Sony! Just wait a couple of years and put them all on hard drives or something.

have two 300 DVD changers and keep the jackets in a folder, everything has a number
in the jacket so you push that number on the changer and it works great

Microsoft Excel

I thought there used to be a really populat website that most people submitted their lsits too. And then it was searchable and had stats and such. But I don't have th atmany so I just type them into excel and make my own webpage so I can view it from anywhere.

I have around 200 DVDs, so having an up-to-date collection database is important for insurance purposes and it's also useful when moving.

I just broke 400... and I still don't waste my time with it.
