I've been working here (current job) for about a year and I really enjoy. Nice people, open internet access, easy work = cushy job. $10.25/hr. I'm a junior in college, public relations major.

My interpersonal communications professor told me she wanted my resume because she'd like to consider me for an intership from July - December. $13.25 / hr and internship experience in the Corporate Communication department of Cincinnati Bell. Besides a comm. professor at my college she is also the main PR person for Cincinnati Bell.

I don't think my job want allow me to come back if I left over summer because that is there busy season and they rely on me. What would you do?

don't be a fool, take the internship. if it's a good internship, it will help you out more in the long run.

What are your career prospects if you stay with the current job? Do you see yourself working there after graduating and do you think it'll add to your resume?

If not, take the internship, it can help you a lot when you go after your first real job after graduating.

If i were you, i would defintely go for the internship. Varying your work experience during college is one of teh most important things you can do to get a good job after you graduate. Future Employers realize that people in college are going to have internships and co-ops so they dont care if you have different jobs every 3-6 months. They especially dont give a sh!t that you stayed in the same job and so called "showed commitment" to one employer during this time. Variety is key! In any case you really dont have a choice in front of you now, give her the resume and let her make the offer first before you pound your head into the wall making a decision.

as for your current job, trust me, they will get along with out you, and if you are really good they will hire you back when your done for the summer, if they dont, its their loss.
