Keep picking up neighbors wireless router.

My neighbor has an unsecured wireless connection. Sounds great, right? Well, it's a low quality connection and is flaky and besides, I like using my own wireless especially since it uses WEP.

Anyways, how can I tell my laptop to use my wireless network whenever available? It seems like I have to change from my neighbors wireless to mine 80% of the time that I start my laptop up. It's starting to get aggravating ...

Delete your neighbors SSID from your list of wireless networks and it wont connect to it at all or you can move your wireless network up the priority list. You can do this under the advanced area of the wireless properties as long as windows controls your wireless network card instead of a wireless client.

Awesome, I had to do some dancing around Windows to find the settings, but you led me to water, so to speak.

Thanks!

I basically set the settings for my neighbors router to never to connect to it and I moved my router up the priority list from 3 to 1.
