Keep or scrap this CRT monitor?

Unless you really need something a CRT is going to give you (black levels), LCDs will generally do it all better.

I would say scrap 'em, or put them on craigslist for like $20.

Since you don't say that they aren't working right why not keep them? $20 each isn't worth it for you. Why not build a Windows XP box to run some fun, older games that don't run or don't run very well in Windows 7/8 and use 1 of your 21" CRTs? I have a Sony 21" P225F 1600x1200 that I'm keeping as a back up.

scrap.

I now use a LCD and I dont miss the old CRT I had.
The picture is alot more.... calm? steady? easier on the eyes.

That is worth whatever small differnces people claim CRTs have, that are superior to LCDs, atleast for me.

Scrap. So power and volumetrically inefficient.

Should be more power efficient than a normal LCD.

But yeah, the advantages are black level, more consistent brightness across different viewing angles, and more power efficient than a flourescent lit LCD.

If you don't have a use for the CRT now, it's unlikely you will in the future. It may be easier to sell than scrap. My work has a hazardous waste collection for Earth Day, and they aren't accepting CRTs.

You could make a retro rig out of it, though would look shoddy in this day and age. 16 bit consoles sound legacy, but an old blob of hardware which does nothing decently while taking space and not looking good isn't worth it for most.

I sold my old Mitsubishi Diamondtron for $10 on craigslist. It took 2 months to sell, but didn't have the heart to dump a perfectly working monitor.

Put it outside your house with a $10 sign on it, and it should be gone within a couple of days at most.

Keep.

CRT's still offer better images than LCD. I still notice the ghosting difference when switching.

I dunno, LCD's feel too digital. I like the analog in CRT's.
