I keep on losing my internet connection for a few seconds at a time. It is the sort of thing you might not even notice, except it cuts me off from the online backgammon game I play.
Is there any relatively painless way to diagnose where the problem is? It could be my dsl provider, of course. But, I figure it could also be my router or my dsl modem or any number of other things. I don't get a "network cable unplugged" error, so that makes me think it isn't a problem with my cabling or ethernet port.
The fact that the dsl modem is way off in the distance, and I can't see the lights on it, doesn't help!
Routers are so cheap that I'm tempted to buy a new one. I should probably have a backup anyway. But, any other tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. RW
