Keep my laptop or buy the BF HP core solo?

I am a teenager and always tight on budget, what do you guys think? The one thing i am worried about is how fast the processor is. My current one is 1.6, if the HP is any lower, then i don't want it. However, i never saw the Ghz on it, anyone know?

I believe that HP Core Solo is a T1350 (1.86GHz) and your cpu is 1.6GHz. FWIW in Memtest86+ a mobile Sempron 3300+ finished one pass in 12 min and it took my T1350 14 min.

ok cool. Yea on the ad it says "1350", it doesnt say T1350.

Now i have a question, i know its better than my current computer, but is it better than the new core 2 duo processors? The Ghz is the same or a little higher than some of those, but i guess not because they are Core TWO duos, (i dont know anything about processors its the one thing i don't know about)... cuz my stepsister needs a decent computer and i was thinking of sending her out at 4 am to get one as well.
