I have 512MB (2X256) of Samsung Original PC3200 and Samsung Original PC2700.

Which to keep? Which memory tech is going to be "the one"? I need cash right now....

Keep the 333. There's no real benefit you gain from the faster rating. The difference between a 333 and 400 is very minimal anyways.

Keep the DDR 400.

The new AMD Athlon based on Barton will be 200 Mhz FHB (first it will start at 166, then it will be changed to 200)

The new P4 based on Prescott and the current northwood will need 200 Mhz FSB (800 fsb quad pumped) After Summer for the Springdale.

Ditch the PC2700.

But he needs cash right now. No reason to hold on to the PC3200 when there isn't a hardware that actually supports it as yet.

DDR333 is currently "faster" but only because the overhead is still b0rking things a little.

Like has been mentioned - come Barton and the new P4s, DDR400 will 0wn j00. :D

Sell me the DDR333. /clocks his Athlon up to 166FSB

this is the dumbest thing i have ever seen. DDR400 memory will run at 333 just fine. so why would you choose less options over more? keep the 400, you can run it at whatever you want, and you're set for when 400fsb's hit the streets.

Not really thomsbrain - DDR400 sells for quite a bit more than 333.

I need some cash, but I might just hold onto the better DDR.

What about the Hammer? Is that 333 or 400?
