Hello all,
I am having connection issues (WiFi) with my laptop. Its a 9 month old Dell Inspiron 14R touch screen.
The problem started 2 weeks ago when I was in Bangkok, Thailand. I'd turn on my laptop, use primarily Chrome to browse the net, and the browser would become unresponsive. It's weird. I can type in Google in the address bar and the page will come up. I guess it's just the cache. If I do a webpage search I'm greeted with the "webpage is not available" page. It's the same with IE as well. Nothing.
When I was in Thailand I was using the condo WiFi. In the beginning it was great. I'd use my laptop as a hotspot for my girlfriend and it worked wonderful. When this issue went down my laptop was still connected to the WiFi. I just couldn't use my browser (Chrome, IE).
Now, I'm in NJ at my dad's house. I've only been home for 2 days and I've been using my Nexus 5 without any issues. I decided to use my laptop tonight. It worked great in the beginning. I was pulling apps off the MS store with no issues, and then it started to happen again. I was attempting to download an app and got a connection issue. The thing is I have a strong connection. In fact, I'm completing this thread on my Nexus 5 and both are on the same network.
I've tried to restart my laptop with no avail. It has to be a laptop issue because this has happened in Thailand and now in America.
Maybe its a virus? I use Avast on both PC and Android. I also use spybot, bleachbit, and ccleaner once a week. I ran a PC checkup and it came up good. Zero issues.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
