keep getting popups...

everytime i load any webpage i get random pop-ups, i ran ad-aware, found some cr@p so i got rid of it, but i still get the damn pop-ups. now all of the sudden my computer is seriosly lagging and im not even running anything. anyone know what it could be? or how to get rid of it??

You need to download Opera 7.01. It has a top of the line pop-up blocker built in and only has one small ad at the top. The good thing is it one has one ad, to upgrade to a full version. I'm using a registered version and it kicks @ss!!!

but i wanna find out why im getting the pop-ups, i get pop-ups just browsing anandtech even

Run Spybot. It catches things that Adaware doesn't, and vice versa.
