Keep getting kicked off the net?

A friend of mine keeps on getting kicked off the internet. When she unplugs the router and modem, and plugs them back in again, then she gets back online.

It's weird, but what provokes it according to her, is when she goes to view RealOne videos on a nursing course site. Once she tries to view the video, it kicks her off the net.

Any ideas?
 
I have to power cycle mine on occasion, but not that often. It sounds like it's more of a mess on the provider's end to me. I think there are tools around to test it (try DSLreports.com), but I'm not an expert in this stuff. You might be better off calling the cable company's tech line and have them run some tests.
