keep drivers, patches, updates on hdd or cdr/rw for reload after f&p?

your comments please on which is better to store drivers, patches, upadates, service packs, etc. in one place for reloading after formatting and partitioning--hdd or cdr/rw? thanks all twks2

well...uh...if you format you hard drive and repartition how would you be able to get to them....lol....i keep mine on cd.

If you have 2 partitions, then you can keep them on one and only reformat the OS partition... If you repartition your drive, you'll lose evrything...

I keep them on a second partition.

After a couple disasters involving lost cd's and a hard drive that failed physically I now do both, I save driver files etc to the second partion of my drive and burm em to cd 🙂

I keep all drivers OSes and pertinent sw on a seperate hd on my system. I keeps all revs of the drivers including patches and whatnot. It makes life easier being that I constanly reinstall all the time. I would burn it all on cds but I am so disorganized that I would probably lose the disc somewhere.
