Keep current printer (HP 970c) or switch to newer printer (Hp 7150)?

The HP 970c is like 5yrs old.

I have a duplex addon for the 970c. that same addon works on the 7150.

I got the 7150 a couple of years ago for free after coupon/rebate/PM. i was going to swap the 970c out after i used up my supply of 3rd party ink, which looks like to be in a couple of months.

Then I read NSF4's RANT about ink cartridge prices.

Looks like there isnt much of a price difference between hp 56/57 ink carts and 3rd party ones. (3rd party hp 45/78 are alot cheaper than genuine ones.)

I only use my printer to print papers, not photos.

Is it worth it to swap it out? (HP 970c still works fine.)
 
Buy an inexpensive laser printer. My wife and I got a Brother HL-5140 and we haven't changed the toner in over 18 months now.
