Hi.

Somehow, I Crash in Warcraft III and it says it's a Memory Problem. That " Memory cannot be read " after 20 or so minutes of The Frozen Throne.

I don't crash on the desktop or anywhere else. I don't get BSOD's...

My Rig:

Asus A7N8X DELUXE REV 2.0 BIOS 1008
CORSAIR XMS 512MB PC3200 DDR400 "CMX512-3200PT" 2.5-3-3-6 TIMINGS
AMD ATHLON XP 3200+ "BARTON" @ 2.2 GHZ
200x11 FSB / Multiplier...

MEMORY is in the BLACK slot (the one all the way to the left. the other 2 are blue prob for dual channel).

The Jumper is set to 200 MHz on the motherboard for FSB... Should It be 400 MHz?

My video card is an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro with a ZALMAN HEATPIPE and a ZALMAN 80MM Fan. It's DAMN COLD and I know it can't be the problem.

I googled up the "CMX512-3200PT" and noticed it's timings were 3-3-3-8. I set it to that and my system won't even boot up. So I reset the CMOS and it works on 2.5-3-3-6/7 but it keeps crashing in WC3.

Could I RMA this stick and get another model of Corsair 512 DDR400?

Have you tried leaving everything stock. Resetting bios and not overclocking anything?

When I downclock it to 166 MHz and get my barton at 2500+ it's pretty stable. But it's supposed to be 200 MHz and my Athlon XP ran fine on 3200+ for like a month now.

Weird ass ram...

MSI K7N-Delta mobo
2500+ @ 3200+
166FSB > 200FSB
(2) 256MB Corsair XMS 3200C2 @ 2.5, 3, 3, 10.
Antec True480

Stable as hell w/ WC3 when I played it.

You should run some MemTest86 and Prime95 stress tests and see if you have bad memory. Should have no problem getting a RMA from corsair.

I may be way off base here, but please confirm your multiplier. Most newer Batron's (read: anything from the last 8 months) are locked. You can change the multiplier in the bios, but its ignored and can me confirmed by running a benchmark program that shows the true multiplier. I have the ver 1 of this board and have never been able to run stable at over 180 fsb, for some reason, and I have DDR500. I think in my case, when i clock at 200 fsb, and since the multiplier is locked, the CPU gets going too fast.

ItmPls: when you get this error does it say something like "Error accessing memory location #fffeee8677600. The memory could not be "read"?
If it is, I've seen this error on a lot of different configurations, and I don't think it has anything to do with your physical ram. I would try updating your videocard and sound drivers. I've never seen it with War3(Thought I don't have the Frozen Throne), but I have seen it with UT1 when quitting; I updated my video drivers and it went away. Good luck.

When I usta play that it would happen to me too I had a system that could pass Prime 24 hrs no problem too. That game is the touchiest thing ever. Basically back down the clock speeds and see how it runs. I bet it will run fine.
