keep asking me to check floppy drive when shutting down

fresh installed xp about a week ago
when i shut down, it pops up msg saying the drive is not ready, check floppy drive, remove any floppy disks
it does shut down even if I dont do anything
i dont even have a floppy drive
 
check device manager for the floppy and uninstall if its there

else you can always try a reinstall..
