Actually if you read the the requirements the OD one will accept a photocopy.

I looked at several Coupon links and found the same thing, $30.00 off no good on monitors.

KDS rebates conflict quite a bit with office depot skus and they hardly ever honor them.

KDS XF-9B at Office Depot

Notice they list it as both XF-9S (manufacturer #) and XF-9B (model name) in the product description. I'm guessing the "S" is a typing error because KDS doesn't seem to have an "S" model under CRT models on their site. The rebates are probably for the 19" because KDS labels their 17" models ending in "-7 "

This seems to be the model shown on the KDS Website

A search for the Item # 558866 at OD shows both rebates here so both are probably certified by Office Depot.


Anyone see any evidence both rebates won't work?

These monitors really suck. The XF-9b are horrible compared to the XF-9. There is no way you can look at it at 1600x1200 at max htz for any period of time. It is just too fuzzy. I would not suggest it. However if you can get the XF-9, it is a great monitor.

I think you're referring to "XF-9Bi" compared to "XF-9B".
OD has had this deal a few times now and every store near me in western WA has the "XF-9Bi" -- which has different (worse) specs than the "XF-9B" -- however, they have the SAME office-depot SKU#.
So, buyer beware. If you can actually get a "XF-9B" (like I did! ) then this deal is HOT!
If you get stuck with the "9Bi", don't expect the refresh rates quoted on the website -- which is probably fine for non-gamers that don't stare at their monitor for too many hours per day. (Still seems hot, though, at ~$70)

To sum it up: I have the XF-9B and am very pleased -- and if I could get my hands on another for under $100, I'd jump on it. However, most OD's in my experience have the "XF-9Bi" -- which they treat as the same monitor -- but it's inferior specs-wise to the XF-9B.

btw: the same model# mix-up occured when I bought mine -- where one rebate showed "XF-9Bi" and I actually received the "XF-9B". All rebates came through without any problem.

Yeah it also showed low availability till I logged in, $157 shipped and only $77 after rebates I couldnt resist. Will be nice to ditch my kvm switch and that dang beeping it does when changing pcs.
