Anyone have one of these? for some reason the forum's buttons at the top like "customize, profile, join, search..." are all messed up at 1280x1024, like theres a streak and white "blotches". Why is it like this? Also, anyone notice that this monitor gets INCREDIBLY HOT? Should I return this monitor and get a Optiquest Q95 instead or is this a good montior? I've read a lot of horror stories about KDS's monitors life span. Anymore insight would help. thx!
 
I've got one. I've had it for several months now. Never had a problem with it. Looks beautiful. I run at 1280x1024x32bit color. My video card is a Matrox G400. What video card are you using?? I don't think it gets any hotter than any other 19" monitor, but I haven't compared. KDS supposedly has an excellent warranty service. I've heard horror stories about Optiquest, myself.

I have had one for about a year or so now, and absolutely no problems, I love it. It gets warm, but not -hot- . If your is incredibly hot, there may be something wrong with it. Is it warping the plastic shell or something if its that hot? Yikes!

I have one also. No problem on the controls.

But............

For some reason in Win2K if I restrict the refresh to the monitors capability it wont let me go above 72Hx when at 1600X1200

So my question is this.

Isnt this thing supposed to do 75Hz at 1600X1200?
Im using the drivers from thier web site.

I only ask because the original VS-195e I own I had at 1600X1200X75Hz and it fried on me within 6 days.

Using one right now with a Matrox G400. Works fine, slightly warm, certainly not "hot".

Sounds like a defective unit.

PS Buy.com has a one day deal on "VS-190" for $219 (minus $30 coupon makes it $189) and there are 369 left as I type this.
 
its just a lot hotter than my older 17 inch. It's not THAT hot but i didnt know how hot it would be. Looks like i will be keeping this monitor! 🙂 thx guys I'm pretty sure this isnt a defective monitor
