Officedepot.com has this monitor for $149.99
There is a $20 off $100 coupon that can be found on the NET.
Also, there is a $30 rebate through KDS that can be found on their website.
Cheap 17" monitor at a matching CHEAP price...0.27 dot pitch.

Save even more by doing this:

Pricematch the Office Depot price with Staples (Normally 173.99 - SKU# IM1308298). This brings the price down to $149.99. Add paper clips, or some other cheap item to bring the cost above $150. Now, use the $30 off $150, bringing the final cost to $120 - $50 rebate = $70!

Not too shabby for a new 17 incher. :)

Rebate disclaimer for shopkds
Rebates listed on shop KDS are not applicable for any monitors purchased through shopkds.com.
Rebates are only applicable to the participating retailers.

Rebate Status

The 50 rebate is only for MicroCenter. There is no 50 rebate. The only rebate is 10 directly from KDS. I've done alot of calculation for this monitor and the best I can come up with is 90 w/out tax w/rebate.

.24 dp? PoS Staples charged me $38 for s/h match!

Updated

If Staples.com offers a rebate and after the rebate Staples.com?s price beats the competition, no price guarantee will be given. You will be getting a lower final cost by shopping at Staples.com. (For example, if Staples.com?s price is $89.99 before a $30.00 rebate, so you pay $59.99 after rebate and the competitor?s price is $84.99 without a rebate, there will be no price match.)

THIS POLICY IS A BUNCH OF BS

How does this monitor compare with the Samsung 753DF?

The Samsung is superior. It is a true flat screen and the colors are better. We use both at our church. In my opinion if you can afford the extra $20-30 go for the Samsung. We payed $165 for ours after rebate several months back.

I used the MicroCenter Rebate form when I bought a KDS 19" monitor from Buy.com last year...and you know what? I got the rebate!! :) I ended up paying like $139 for this monitor on a Buy.com deal of the day with a coupon, rebate and free shipping!

That is just pure B.S. that the MANUFACTURER offers different rebate amounts depending on which store you buy it at!!! Pure SCAM.

Another scam is the 0.24 HORIZONTAL DP = 0.27 TRUE DP

Check the Office Depot site, they list it as 0.27 DP

I have a 17" Viewsonic at 0.27 DP and I want better DP!

Uh, if you look carefully at the front of that rebate, the $50 rebate is for a different monitor. Those rebate forms are only $10 for this one.

you are right, the rebate is $10 but there is one extra rebate for $20 off at the bottom of the page. So Office Depot offers $30 in rebate.

I had to go to OD to get the additional $20.00 rebate form. You send it to the same place as the KDS .PDF rebate. Screwy deal.

KDS is a good company. One thing they will never do is scam you.

What do you guys expect from a monitor that costs $150? It's a low end 17" monitor. Try the KDS VS-19SN if you want a sweet monitor. I've had one for two years now, and I love it to death. I bought it for $450, but it sells for only $250 now.

Really, if you're only going to pay $100-$150 for a monitor, don't complain that it doesn't compare to the high end models.

I completely agree with unrequited, KDS is a great company with awesome support for their monitors. I have their 17" FD Trinitron monitor and it completely ROCKS. I like their 3 year advance placement warranty. They also have real people to talk with if you want or need to... Good luck. BTW, this is their very low end model. The AVITRON's are best and their LCD screens are very reasonable. :)
