KDS VS-195E

KDS, besides it's lack of brand name, churns out good quailty monitors with good res support. I'd be confortable with one.
 
I own this monitor. I had to return the one I previously had, as it died on me, but their return policy is quite easy and reasonable. Definitely no-hassle

as far as the image quality is concerned, for $300, it's one of the best "bang-for-the-buck" items going in the computer world.

If you're into professional 3d graphics and whatnot, then perhaps you should drop a few hundred more.

But for the $$$, it is quite easily the best I've seen.
